Counterfeiting of electronic components is a real and growing threat to our industry. Bad parts wreck products, customer relations and bottom lines.

They are certainly as much of a curse to Gulf Distributors as to any other entity in the supply chain and as a company we take stringent measures to eliminate counterfeit parts.

Provenance

We have many years' experience buying parts have relationships with providers that we trust. We don't do business with untrusted sellers without rigorous verification.

Verification

There are several reliable, nationally recognized testing laboratories in our community. Gulf Distributors immediately samples a suspect lot and hand delivers it to the lab where it is assayed for authenticity.

With any evidence of counterfeit we reject the lot. Our buyers never see a single part from it.

And we don't send it back to the seller. We destroy the lot.

"Clean" lots are cleared to become part of our inventory. Any buyer for the lot can receive our documentation of authenticity.

Gulf Distributors joins all legitimate providers in condemning counterfeiting. We pledge to continue to do all that we can to eliminate it.
